La
fiesta más terrorífica llega al “cole”
Cuenta una leyenda celta
que Jack era un hombre tan malvado que no lo querían “ ni en
el cielo ni en los infiernos”. Desde entonces, su alma
vaga por aquellas tierras. La fiesta de Halloween tiene su origen en
la narración del destino del alma del “malvado Jack”. Nacida en
aquellas tierras irlandesas emigró a América, y en la actualidad
está extendida por muchos lugares del mundo.
En España el día 1 de
noviembre es el día de Todos los Santos, un día
festivo de tradición religiosa aunque el más popular sea el día 2,
Día de los difuntos. En las dos últimas décadas,
Halloween se ha ido haciendo un sitio importante entre la juventud, y
hoy es una fiesta ampliamente celebrada; aun que dista mucho de la
popularidad que tiene en el mundo anglosajón.
Así que, con detractores
y seguidores, la fiesta de los monstruos, fantasmas, brujas y
espíritus llega al colegio. En general, los niños son sus
seguidores más entusiastas: les gusta mucho disfrazarse y les
encanta escuchar historias de miedo. Es por ello que en este curso no
sólo han sido, como venía ocurriendo, los profesores de Inglés los
que han realizado actividades para Halloween, sino que los profesores
encargados de la Biblioteca han programado actividades para todo el
colegio: se han contado cuentos de terror a los más pequeños, se
han realizado dramatizaciones y representaciones teatrales. En clase,
se han escritos cuentos de miedo y se ha hecho muchas manualidades.

to a Celtic legend there was a man called Jack, who was so wicked
that his soul wanders in the earth , because neither the heaven nor
the hell wanted him. The festivity of Halloween has his origin in
Ireland and it was based on the story of Wicked Jack. When Irish
people emigrated to America they brought their customs and
traditions. And currently, this festival is celebrated in many places
in the world.
In
Spain, the first of November is All Saint´s Day, a religious bank
holiday in our calendar but the most popular is the second day of
November, Dead people Day. In the two last decades, Halloween is very
popular between young people and it is widely celebrate in our
country.
Such
is the case that, with supporters and opponents, the festivity of
monsters, ghosts, witches and spirits arrives to Tartessos School.
Children are very enthusiastic of this day,, because they like
dresses as a ghosts, zombies,witches,monsters…and they really enjoy
listening to scary tales. This year, in our school , not only English
teachers have carried out some activities related to Halloween,
rather the teachers in charge of the Library have planned activities
for all the students. Drama, theatre,, storytelling…The older
students have written many scary stories and they told to the younger
ones. Also, most of the children have done Arts & Crafts.
